Burnley's unbeaten record against Blackburn Rovers was extended to 10 consecutive matches on Saturday afternoon, as the sides battled out a 1-1 draw in the Turf Moor sun.
Lyle Foster opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a pinpoint header from close range, before Andreas Weimann struck home an equaliser midway through the first half.
Despite the Clarets dominating the majority of the derby and pushing for a second goal, the visitors defended resiliently to deny Burnley a winner.
Scott Parker named five changes from the side that played last time out in the Championship, with league debuts handed to new signings Josh Laurent, Joe Worrall, Hannibal and Jaidon Anthony, with CJ Egan- Riley, Jay Rodriguez, Andreas Hountondji and Han-Noah Massengo moving to the bench.

In a fiery atmosphere at Turf Moor, Rovers had an early opportunity when Andreas Weimann tried his luck from range with a lofted effort, but it sailed above the target.
But, with just 10 minutes on the clock, it was the Clarets who found the back of the net as Anthony whipped a cracking cross into the area for Lyle Foster to guide home perfectly past Aynsley Pears.
The Clarets were still looking lively and had another chance when Luca Koleosho cut inside onto his left foot and curled an effort towards goal, but Pears managed to deny him.
Rovers equalised midway through the first half as Weimann latched onto the ball from just outside the area and looped a strike over Trafford to equalise.
Burnley came close to regaining the lead shortly after when Foster hooked a header inches wide of the target as Parker’s men pushed for a second.

Foster was looking lively and causing the Rovers defence plenty of problems as his header from a corner then bounced off the outside of the post.
Despite the hosts starting and finishing the half as the much better side, the two teams went into the break level.
There was an early chance for the visitors a minute into the second half when the ball fell to Brittain inside the area, but the full-back fired wide of the goal.
Rovers had another opportunity five minutes later when the away side broke on the counter, with Gueye picking out Dolan, but Trafford made a fine stop to deny the former Preston man firing home.
With the hour mark approaching, Blackburn were then reduced to 10 men, as Gueye was shown a second yellow for demanding a booking for Esteve, after the Frenchman challenged the forward.
The Clarets then made their first change of the afternoon with 20 minutes left, as Hannibal made way for Jeremy Sarmiento, who came on for his debut.
Parker turned to his bench eight minutes later with the scores still level, as Manuel Benson and Jay Rodriguez replaced Koleosho and Laurent.
