Armando Broja headed home his first Burnley goal in the 90th minute to snatch a late point for the Clarets at the Vitality Stadium.

Broja levelled matters in the final minute of normal time, after nodding home Marcus Edwards' cross, to salvage a share of the spoils for Scott Parker's men, after Antoine Semenyo put the hosts in front midway through the second half.

Parker made six changes from the Clarets’ last Premier League fixture against Fulham.

Martin Dúbravka started in goal, with Kyle Walker and Lucas Pires returning from suspension into defence, which also included Joe Worrall and Josh Lauren, alongside Hjalmar Ekdal.

Skipper Josh Cullen and Lesley Ugochukwu were joined in a four-man midfield by former Cherries star Jaidon Anthony and Jacob Bruun Larsen, with top-scorer Zian Flemming leading the line.

After an even opening, Bournemouth created the first chance of the afternoon on six minutes, David Brooks curling a left-footed effort wide of the post.

Brooks was at it again a few minutes later, this time firing inches wide of the other post, as the Cherries began to find their groove.

Burnley were second best and they were almost made to pay in the 27th minute – this time Antoine Semenyo’s dipping curler fell just wide.

The Clarets edged their way back into the contest as half-time approached, and they thought they’d gone ahead on 44 minutes – only for an assistant referee’s flag to rule out Anthony’s effort, with Laurent, who played provider, adjudged to have been in an offside position.

That proved to be the last chance of note, as the half ended goalless.

The second half started slowly, with a few half-chances for the hosts, but Dúbravka in the Burnley goal still hadn’t been called into action as the clock ticked towards the hour mark.

Brooks squandered a golden opportunity to pout the Cherries ahead on 61 minutes, skewing his volley high and wide from close range, when surely a more measured finish would have seen the hosts hit the front.

Parker made a double change soon after, with Loum Tchaouna and Armando Broja replacing Bruun Larsen and Flemming respectively.

Moments later, the Cherries were ahead, with Semenyo capitalising on Laurent’s unfortunate slip, before burying an unstoppable curling shot from the edge of the box into the far corner.

A late flurry of pressure for the visitors provided hope, and they were rewarded with a last-gasp leveller.

After a sustained period of Clarets pressure, Edwards’ cross was flighted to perfection and Broja rose tallest to nod home, which saw the end to the Clarets' losing streak.
