Clarets take on the Lions in Emirates FA Cup

Burnley begin their Emirates FA Cup journey on Saturday afternoon, as Scott Parker's men take on Millwall at Turf Moor.

The Clarets head into the weekend following a well-earned point on Wednesday night, after drawing 2-2 with Manchester United in the Premier League.

Parker's side will be aiming to back-up their recent point with progress in the FA Cup against Alex Neil's men, who sit 5th in the Sky Bet Championship.

Millwall currently occupy one of the play-off places, on an unbeaten run of four matches, with two defeats in their last 11 fixtures.

The opposition

Millwall have enjoyed a successful campaign so far, which sees them sat 5th in the Sky Bet Championship table, with Alex Neil's side pushing to secure a play-off spot.

The Lions are unbeaten in their last four league games, with just two defeats in their last 11, after securing 12 wins, seven draws and seven defeats from their 26 Championship games.

Not stopping until the very end seems to have also been a trend for Neil's men this season, with three of their match winning goals from their last four victories, all coming after the 81st minute, with two of the winning goals deep into stoppage time.

“We’re going into this game fully prepared like we always do. No shortcuts in this, I’ll pick a team that will go out there and fundamentally want to win this game. That’s exactly the aim and to go through to the next round.

“I expect a really strong game. I've huge respect for Alex and the job he’s done at various clubs. I’ve come across him many a time, playing up against him. I know for one every time I do come up against him and his team’s there’s a certain fight there and some quality there as well that you need to be prepared for.

“They’re having a very good season, tough, tough opposition for us."
