Burnley FC players Han-Noah Massengo, Hjalmar Ekdal, Denis Franchi, Ameen Al-Dakhil, Lawrence Vigouroux and CJ Egan-Riley were out in the community this week showing their support for the Club's official charity Burnley FC in the Community.
The players split into two groups with Massengo, Ekdal and Franchi stopping by Nelson and Colne College to speak to students from BFCitC's Shadow Youth Team, Netball Academy and Cricket Academy, while Al-Dakhil, Vigouroux and Egan-Riley made the trip to Turf Moor for a special Q&A with the charity's Walking Football and Walking Netball team.
At the college, the players took a tour of the facility, meeting the squads during their training sessions. They then took part in a Q&A which provided an excellent opportunity for the students to gain an insight into the life of a player and the dynamics of the sports industry.
Ahead of the visit, Massengo made a donation of clothes, which the charity stocked in a Pop-Up shop. Exceptional students on the course and those facing more challenging circumstances were given the chance to select items from the shop. This brought plenty of excitement amongst the group, with Burnley FC in the Community commenting that the generous donation brought smiles to many faces!
The excitement continued when Ameen Al-Dakhil, CJ Egan-Riley and Lawrence Vigouroux paid a visit to Turf Moor to take part in a Q&A with the charity's Walking Football and Walking Netball team.
With plenty of lifelong Burnley fans in the room, it provided a fantastic opportunity for the community participants to pose their questions and learn more about the players they support!
