Burnley Football Club can confirm that talented attacker Heidi Logan has joined our women’s team ahead of the 2024/25 season!
The forward, who can play out wide or through the middle, excelled in the Northern Premier Division of the Women’s National League last season, netting 14 league goals for Stoke City.
The 23-year-old was on loan in the Midlands from Women’s Championship side Charlton Athletic and has now moved north on a permanent basis.
After confirming her move, she said: “When I spoke to Bex (Rebecca Sawiuk) and Lola (Ogunbote) their ambition for growth here was impressive.
“I’m an energetic player and I like to think I can excite the fans by being a handful for defenders, scoring goals and assisting too.
“Promotion’s what we’re aiming for but we’ll take it game by game.”
Logan may be familiar to Burnley fans as she scored in our 2-1 victory over Stoke at the Lancashire FA County Ground in April 2024.
Her youth career was spent with West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City, and she was part of an FA Youth Cup final side with the latter.
Logan has significant Championship experience to her name with Lewes FC, too, and was team-mates with fellow new addition Amelia Hazard in Sussex.
On Logan, Head Coach Rebecca Sawiuk added: “Heidi is relentless and has exceptionally high standards, while being all about the team’s success.
“She can play anywhere across the top line and caused us more problems than any other player last season.
“When she became available it was an easy decision to sign her because she is a goalscorer, and I’m looking forward to working with her this season.”
