Forward Dara Costelloe is hoping to carry all the valuable experience and development from this season’s SPL loan spells into pre-season upon returning to Lancashire in the summer.
After spending six months in Sky Bet League One last season with Bradford City, the youngster spent the first half of the current campaign on loan at St Johnstone, before joining Dundee in January until the end of the season alongside Clarets teammates Michael Mellon and Owen Dodgson.
Costelloe has played over 20 games this season in the Scottish top-flight and the 21-year-old believes he has improved aspects of his game since moving north of the border last August.
"I think I've improved massively since I've been here (Scotland). I am just trying to play as many games as I can, to keep improving and developing as much as possible.
"I've gained a lot of valuable experience across the season during my time at both clubs and I have learnt a lot which I can bring back with me when I return to Burnley in the summer.
"There has been some really tough opposition and defenders to come up against, but it's been a really good test to go up against them and I've enjoyed it.
"We still have a lot of games to go, a lot of points to play for and I'm just wanting to help Dundee finish the season on a high and help out where I can."

Costelloe is not the only Claret currently on loan with the 'Dee', with Dodgson and Mellon also spending the second half of this season with Burnley's strategic partner club.
The youngster says it has helped having familiar faces around him during his time in Scotland and revealed what the group get up to away from the pitch on their days off.
"It's always good to have lads you know with you, especially when we were all new to the club coming here in January, so I've enjoyed having them around me, as well as my new teammates.
"I also really like life in Scotland which has helped me settle in easy as ever. It's a really good place for golf, with some amazing courses, so that keeps us busy in our off time!"

Costelloe has come up against the likes of Celtic and Rangers this season including a trip to the Ibrox and the Ireland U21 international has relished the experiences he's faced.
"It's been a great experience overall and coming up against all different types of teams is great. Celtic and Rangers are obviously both huge clubs that play in Europe every year and have some top players.
"It's always good to test yourself against what are European sides and see what you can get out of them."
