Aaron Lennon capped off a superb Burnley performance by scoring the Clarets' third of the game with 68 minutes played.
The experienced winger, who recently surpassed 400 Premier League appearances, helped Sean Dyche’s men to their first win away from home this season.
Lennon on his goal:
“Jay did brilliant and he managed to get it back in front of me, and then I just knew where I wanted to put it, and sometimes you hit them sweet and I couldn’t have hit it any better.”
Lennon on the performance:
“It was massive for us. It was due with our performances. We’ve been brilliant in the last four games, we’ve really picked up our performances and it was fully deserved.
“They are a good side and we know that, but from the first minute we were on the front foot, and we were brilliant to a man, the subs that came on, everyone was brilliant for us.
“We have to concentrate only on ourselves like we do every single day, and hopefully it’s paying off with the performances over the last month or so, it’s a small step but a big step.”
Lennon on reaching 400 Premier League appearances:
“I’m proud of it, I’m not really looking back on it yet, I’m only looking forward, but it’s not about me, it’s about the three points.
“I feel great, I look after myself and I work hard, so I know my level.”
Lennon on the squad mentality:
“It’s a 25-man squad, it’s about everyone, the boys have come in and have been brilliant, we have just got on with it, we’ve had a couple of players out with Covid.
"It happens to everyone, so we have to deal with it and move on, and it was a massive performance.”
Lennon on the fans:
“From the warm-up we could hear them. The weather has been terrible this week so credit to them, it means everything to us, they push us, they lift us and hopefully they had a nice journey back.”
