Manager Vincent Kompany was left disappointed following Saturday afternoon's defeat to Everton and insists the game was about 'both boxes' at Turf Moor.
Andre Onana gave the visitors the lead in the 19th minute from a corner before Michael Keane fired in from close range following a free-kick shortly after.
Speaking post-match, the Burnley boss highlighted the disappointment of conceding from two set pieces but credited Sean Dyche's side, who have scored the most set plays in the league.
Kompany explained: “There's not much to assess. It’s two set plays. The game is played in both boxes and we've got done on two set plays today, that's cost us.
"You can’t expect at this level to dominate every game, we’ve got to be realistic. The teams we’re facing have got players who can build up some momentum, that’s normal.
"But there’s not much I need to say about the overall defending or the attacking play, it’s more about both boxes today.
“The moments we had, we have a few clear moments where we’re not able to finalise it and we get done in both boxes. That’s what you’re left to discuss.”

Kompany added: “It’s a team effort, especially nowadays when every team has a strategy and things they do to create an advantage from a set play, depending on the quality of the delivery and the players who attack it.
“Credit to Everton, they’re one of the best teams in the league at doing that. But it’s part of the game, you don’t get to hide away from it. You don’t get to be good at some things and some others you’re not.
“You always get to feel a little bit like this game is undone by you not giving yourself a chance, which is never a good feeling.”
A positive from the afternoon was that striker Lyle Foster returned to the matchday squad for the first time since October following a break due to taking a break for his mental health.
Kompany said: “It was a surprise to us as well (being involved). We hadn’t really expected that he was able to return. But it was the opinion of the experts that keeping him in his natural environment was important.
"Football is part of his life, it’s something he needs to do to be happy as well.

“We were ready for anything and 45 minutes physically is what he was able to do. In the second-half you could see how much of an impact he can have.
“I have to add, it’s really important not to confuse things. This is part of his process of getting back, it’s not like we can fly him all over the world now. This is just part of his return to health.
“We follow what the medical experts say. It’s step by step, it’s being with the team, being with people he considers his friends and keeping a very small world for him. That seems to put him in a good place. This is just part of his recovery.”
