Manager Vincent Kompany admits there is a 'sense of relief' amongst his squad heading into Saturday's Turf Moor meeting with Chelsea after picking up their first three points of the season at Luton on Tuesday night.
The Clarets claimed the victory over the Hatters with strikes from Lyle Foster and Jacob Bruun Larsen in a 2-1 win and Kompany hopes his side can take the positives and momentum into this weekend.
Burnley host Chelsea before the October international break begins next week and Kompany insists his side already had confidence amongst them but wants his side to build on the first win of the Premier League campaign.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, the Clarets chief said: “I can’t deny it must be a sense of relief for a lot of the players, especially the ones who had never won in the Premier League.
"I think for us now it’s reminding ourselves we move on. We’ve got Chelsea soon and that’s obviously a key game for us back at home.
“I believe the team had confidence before Luton but there’s no doubt in my mind we can take many positives from that game into the Chelsea game on Saturday."

Kompany added: “I’m not really a big believer of confidence being honest. I know ideally you want it and you want confidence but I think you’ve got to build your own confidence in moments where you might not have the results.
“I think confidence comes from consistency and doing what you should be doing every time and trusting that you can do it and that you belong there."
Following Tuesday's win, the Clarets' next test is taking on Chelsea, who have yet to taste defeat at Turf Moor in the Premier League.
The Blues come into the clash after a Monday night win at Fulham and despite not enjoying the strongest of start's, Kompany is well aware of the threat and has high praise for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
“I’ve had the chance to put a little bit more work into it and they’re a talented side, really talented. The first question that pops into my mind is how unlucky they’ve been really.
“I get it, it’s always the case with big clubs you always have the pressure to get results all of the time but when I look at their games and what they’re doing, I see a very good side with very good players.
“It will happen for them at some point no doubt, just hopefully not at Turf Moor.”

Burnley's win during the week saw the Clarets move to 18th place and joint 16th on goal difference and three points this Saturday could see the home side lift out the bottom three for the first time this season, but Kompany doesn't get too distracted by the league table so early in the season.
“I can’t say I spend much time looking at the league. I look at the fixtures, for sure, but I recognise our first eight games were against teams like Chelsea.
“We’ve got four points from six against Forest and Luton which were the only games against teams where we had to get results.
“It would be nice now to look at these types of games and get some results. With the fixtures coming up, we’ve got more of the types of games like we had against Forest and Luton where we actually had a chance before a ball was kicked.”
