Manager Vincent Kompany was pleased his side returned to action with an impressive 3-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Sunday.
It was Burnley's first game since November 13th following the World Cup break, where the Clarets also beat Blackburn Rovers by three goals to nil and Kompany praised his side's hard work since returning to training ahead of the second half of the campaign.
Post match in the capital, Kompany said: "Big credit to the lads, they have worked hard from day one since coming back in from the break and they came back ready for this.
"It's a very good away win for us, three goals spread across three different scorers and we were also missing a couple of key players too.
"I thought everyone that came in today though played terrific, everyone worked hard and played together as team, so we're delighted with today."
Johann Berg Gudmundsson opened the scoring with a free-kick, before Ian Maatsen added a second just before the break and Nathan Tella grabbed his 7th goal of the season with 20 minutes to go on a wintery afternoon in west London.
And Kompany discussed the importance of sharing the goals amongst his squad, who are now the top scorers across the top four leagues in England, with 13 different scorers.
"It's good because we keep sharing the goals and I have said from the start that this would be important for us.
"For me getting goals, is about getting in the right positions and I think if you do that, you will get chances and I think that's why the goals are being shared.
"We aren't over reliant on one player to get the goals, there's some players that have done really well and got more than others, but three goals with three different scorers is always pleasing.
"Any team I have ever been involved in have shared the goals across them, they have done that well so far and we need to keep doing that." Said the Clarets chief.
And to cap off a fine afternoon, Scott Twine and Darko Churlinov featured from the bench late on for the first time since July and September respectively, following lengthy injuries.
Kompany said: "I was pleased for Scott and Darko, they will have to build up their match fitness, to get themselves on level with the other players they are competing with.
"But they have the potential, they have the talent and they can both give us something different again."
