Burnley boss wins Sky Bet February award

Vincent Kompany has again won the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for the fourth time this season.

The Clarets chief, who won the award for October, December and January, was nominated this time round after being the only side to not lose last month.

In February Kompany's side won four of their six league fixtures, drawing two and scoring 13 goals in the process.

Burnley also continued their fine unbeaten run in the league dating all the way back to early November when the Clarets last suffered defeat in the Championship.

Kompany beat Michael Carrick, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Nigel Pearson to the accolade and after winning the monthly prize, Kompany said: "I'm really pleased to win this award again, up against some great managers in the Championship.

"It was a good month for us, with some difficult away trips but I'm really proud of the side for continuing the hard work and consistently producing.

"A mention and thanks to all the staff who have played a part to this again; the coaches, physios, medical, sports science, analysts, kit staff, grounds staff and everyone else who played a part."
