Despite Friday night's defeat to Manchester City, Luca Koleosho, who made his Premier League debut in claret and blue, believes the experience will only make his new side better.
Bringing plenty of energy up front, the new man was delighted with the atmosphere on his first experience at Turf Moor.
Reflecting after the game, the 18-year-old said: “I think we had our moments in the game but obviously we were playing against the best team in the world right now. So, I just think that every game we’re going to get better and just improve.
“The mentality is just to win, there’s 37 games, it’s a long season but just take it one at a time and just go out there and try and win.”
A first half brace from Erling Haaland made it a tough challenge for the Clarets in the second half, with Koleosho only too aware of the threat the striker, who has the record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League season, holds.
“Yes, he’s the best striker in the world and if you give him opportunities, he’ll punish you. We have to come better prepared for next time, you just have to prepare. He’s a great player.”

Entering the break behind, Koleosho spoke about manager Vincent Kompany's message at half-time urging the players to keep their heads high.
"He said that we just have to keep pushing, keep fighting. Obviously, we were 2-0 down but we couldn’t let our heads down we had to hold our heads high. We just had to keep playing with the same intensity and just try and get back into the game and not let it slip from us.”
Joining the Clarets in the summer, Koleosho is loving life at Burnley and was full of praise for the fans and the electric atmosphere on his home debut.
“I’m loving it. I love all my players, the coaches. From day one they integrated me very fast and I’m very comfortable with everybody now. I’m just loving it.
“It’s amazing [the atmosphere]. It’s an amazing stadium, amazing fans, I felt the presence as soon as I walked out. It was just an amazing atmosphere overall.”
Finally, when asked if he was ready and raring to go for Aston Villa in just over two weeks time for the Clarets next fixture, Koleosho replied: “Of course, of course!”
