Johann Berg Gudmundsson is eager to play his part in the Clarets’ remaining Premier League push after getting back into Burnley’s starting line-up.
Gudmundsson completed 90 minutes in the injury-hit Clarets’ 2-0 defeat to league leaders Manchester City at Turf Moor.
And after just a second league start since November, the fit-again winger is hungry for more action.
“I feel really good. Ninety minutes is always good,” said Gudmundsson, who has now been involved in half of Burnley’s league games so far this term after getting over a troublesome calf problem.

“It was hard work tonight and hopefully I get to start again at the weekend.
“We know it’s going to be a hard game as well but hopefully we get a bit more of the ball and we can create more chances than we did today.
“They’ve eased me back in. I had to play a few Under-23 games and get some good training sessions in and that was a good thing to do.
“Now I feel really good and ready to go. I want to play as many Premier League games as possible and we’re still in the Cup as well, so there are a lot of games coming up and it’s an enjoyable period.”
Gudmundsson – who signed a new two-year contract at the weekend – was unable to help spark a fightback against City, who were in front after just three minutes and then led 2-0 at half time on their way to a 13th successive victory in all competitions.

But the Iceland international is starting to look back towards his best.
And he could be a key figure as Sean Dyche’s men prepare for games against three sides in the bottom half of the table, starting against Brighton at Turf Moor on Saturday, and a fifth-round FA Cup tie at home to Bournemouth.
“We know how City play and it’s extremely tough - especially when you give away a goal that early,” Gudmundsson told Clarets +
“It was a tough night, but we kept at it at the whole time.
“They are a fantastic side. They keep the ball so well and they’ve got options everywhere.
“They were great today. We tried but it wasn’t enough.
“We’ve got some great games coming we believe we can win.
“It’s going to be a cracking few weeks. There’s a lot of football and that’s how we like it.”
