Arsenal
The Gunners were founded in 1886 as 'Dial Square Football Club' before rebranding as 'Royal Arsenal'.
They won the Kent Senior Cup, London Charity Cup & London Senior Cup, and would go on to become the first club from the capital to turn professional.
In 1913, they moved to Highbury and 17 years later won their first national trophy, the FA Cup. Most recently triumphant in the world’s oldest cup competition in 2020, Arsenal have now won it a record 14 times.
George Graham arrived as manager in 1986, enjoying early success in the League Cup before ending an 18-year title drought in 1989 when the Gunners famously beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield on the final day to lift silverware, snatching it away from the hosts in the process.
Bruce Rioch had a short stint at the helm before Arsène Wenger arrived in 1995. The Frenchman’s early years saw the London outfit earn numerous accolades, the most memorable a golden Premier League title courtesy of an invincible campaign in 20023/04.
The Gunners would also reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2006, losing to Barcelona, a defeat which seemingly provided a downward spiral of sorts with silverware harder to come by following a move to The Emirates.
Wenger departed in 2018 after an impressive 22-year spell in charge, replaced by Unai Emery who guided the Gunners to a UEFA Europa League final only to be beaten by Chelsea.
In turn, he was replaced by Mikel Arteta who remains at the helm now with an FA Cup to his name and a runners-up spot in the top flight last term.
