Taylor Harwood-Bellis was all smiles at Tuesday's Champions Parade and heaped praise on Clarets fans for their continued backing throughout the season.
“It’s good obviously to be with the lads celebrating, we had a good day on Monday after the win. Celebrated well last night and then come here [to the town hall] just can’t wait to get on the bus now and see the fans that have turned up.”
Thousands lined the streets on the day, packing out the route from the town hall to the Turf.
“Yeah, we saw it on the way in to be fair, the numbers were filling up and I can’t wait to go and see them and celebrate out there."

In addition to the support from the fans on the day, the 21-year-old was keen to state just how much the backing across the whole season means to him and the squad.
“In the interviews I’ve been asked, I can’t speak highly enough of the fans, the passion that they show and the backing that they’ve shown us throughout the season. Obviously, the start wasn’t easy and changing the way we were playing and stuff like that, but they backed us and that helps us more than they’ll know.”
Upon reflection of the season, Harwood-Bellis said he wasn't surprised manager Vincent Kompany would ensure the team were successful and achieve great things.
“It doesn’t surprise me just because I’ve worked with the manager before and I know what he’s like, that success was going to come whatever Club he is at in a matter of time. So, yes, it’s been an unreal season, better than I thought. I did have high expectations because as I said the manager, but it’s been unreal. I couldn’t have wished for it to be with a better club, the players as well and the fans it’s been unreal.”

The defender was also pleased to see his teammate and carpool friend Josh Cullen net two awards at the town hall ceremony, including Players' Player of the Season and the Vertu Motors Fans Player of the Season.
“I think the awards he’s won show it all, the players we appreciate what he does and obviously the fans do - which I’m happy to hear because players like him will go underrated it what they do and what they give for the team. We don’t underappreciate him and I’m so glad the fans don’t. He’ll be massive going forward for this Club and he’s a credit to him and his family as well.
“We were in Belgium together so we have a lot of memories there and I couldn’t have wished for it to happen to a better person. He’s top and he’ll give everything no matter what so I’m so happy for him.”
