It was an action-packed Monday night under the lights for Burnley U21s, who beat their Brentford counterparts to reach the last eight of the Premier League Cup.
Kian McMahon-Brown netted a hat-trick, two before half-time and one after the break, but Brentford netted two of their own to set up a nervy finish.
Andy Farrell's side did enough to secure progression against last year's finalists, though, and will look forward to the next round draw in the coming weeks.
