Ahead of facing Bournemouth this weekend, manager Vincent Kompany discussed the 'real punch in the guts' feeling after recent results, but the Clarets boss is relishing the moment of celebrating with the supporters once again.
Kompany has created a special connection with the Clarets fan base over the last 18 months and admits he has 'visualised' the moment of celebrating with the Turf Moor crowd again.
Speaking to the media on Friday ahead of Sunday's clash, Kompany said: "I know you have to be in it with passion and emotions and the team are. It really hurts us when we lose any game and it's a real punch in the guts.
"But we build ourselves up to go again every week and we have the consistency to do that. The 24 hours after (defeat) is never good but then it's back to work and getting ready for this game which is what we have done.
"I would love to go over to the fans this Sunday and fist pump again. I actually visualise that in my head and can picture it and I hope that's this weekend. That's no disrespect at all to Bournemouth, we are well aware they are a really good team.
"We just have to look at every opportunity and there's a game this weekend for us, at home in front of our fans and that's the only one that matters and that I'm thinking about."
Despite recent results, Kompany insists the belief within his squad remains the same and the importance of 'injecting belief in every situation' into a team.
"It's a necessity to inject belief and give the players something to have and that's something I'm passionate about. You always have to inject belief and that's in every situation.
"Whether times are good or bad, the belief has to remain the same and that's been something we have had the consistency of all season.
"It's easier to do that when you believe yourself and that's my case. My only focus is Burnley Football Club and all I care about now is my team and them getting a result this weekend."

Kompany was asked for an update on the recovery of defender Jordan Beyer and midfielder Samuel Bastien, who is spending the 2023/24 campaign on loan with Turkish side Kasimpasa, but spent some time at the Burnley Training Centre during his recovery.
"'He's (Beyer) progressing well, that's the last update I had but I can't put a timescale on it."
"Bastien had a knee problem and got it fixed. He spent some time here in his recovery and he's gone back now and hopefully he can finish the season off now in Turkey before returning here in the summer."
