Lyle Foster's dramatic 95th minute winner at Molineux on Sunday afternoon saw a triumphant Burnley seal three important points, their first on the road this season.

Sending the away end into raptures, Foster's winner followed a brace from Zian Flemming in a game that saw the home side come back from being 2-0 down in the first half.

“I feel amazing," said Foster.

"More than anything I'm happy for the team, I think we deserved it especially going two goals up, with the performance we showed. I’m blessed today to be able to score the winner, it’s an amazing feeling. But more than anything I’m just happy for the boys.

“Coming on it was tough because they were coming at us a bit. I think we had a few throw ins on the right, the ball just bobbled, it landed with Hannibal, and I saw him looking up so I just tried to make a good run. I tried to change it to stay onside and luckily, I went through on goal. My first thought was just try and get it in!

“I’m happy with the goal and more than anything happy with the three points.”

The travelling supporters were perfectly placed to witness the winning goal, and Foster was thrilled to celebrate with everybody, including goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka.

“It was amazing in front of the away fans, hearing them cheering. Also, all our players as well, I saw Martin there and thought what’s going on!

“I feel like the boys deserve it after the season we’ve had so far. We’ve had some luck not on our side losing games in the last minute, it was nice to finally win one in the last minute.”

Having been two goals to the good before Wolves equalised at half-time to make it 2-2, Scott Parker's men had to show a strong mentality to walk away with the points on the day.

“This squad is all about mentality. The Gaffer emphasised that a lot before the game; to be big on mentality, it will be a big focus. It was a proper away win, it got tough. When it became 2-2 their spirits were high, the momentum was going with them so for us to stay in the game, to make sure we didn’t concede - we know how great our defence is, and we got the three points.

“It’s nice to win away. Our home is our fortress, and I think we’ve shown that we’re able to get points there but to be able to get them away as well helps us a lot. It fills us with confidence, and it makes the journey back home a lot quicker and nicer! Hopefully, we’ll get a few more away this season. We’ll enjoy this one and will focus on the next game at Turf on Saturday.”
