The app which creates rivalries between friends, competition between players and so much more, will again kick off in mid-August and we now have some details for the keen ones who are looking to lock down their favourite Clarets early doors.
We've taken a look at the early statistics within this year’s version and who are the ones to watch out for.
Introduction to FPL
For those who are new to FPL, here’s a quick insight into what to expect. You can use public leagues to play against the world or you can join a private league with your friends and colleagues to watch the battle commence.
Players pick a squad of 11 starters along with four subs, with their Premier League performances reflecting a points total at the end of every game week.
There are bonus points for selected performances and there are limited boosts which help you swing the lead in your favour, should you choose them wisely.
This year’s squad in focus
So, taking a look at this year’s squad, the Clarets have a total of 29 players included within this year’s version, with the squad cost overall coming to a figure of £133 million.
In terms of breaking that number down into positions, it’s no real surprise that the midfield section of the playing squad is the one that leads the way in terms of FPL value, clocking up to a respectable £54 million, averaging £4.9 million between each midfielder.
Top Claret choices
In terms of the hot picks for this year’s Clarets squad, there’s a couple of Burnley standouts ready for selection.
