Burnley booked their place in the FA Youth Cup Fifth Round with an impressive 2-0 win against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Monday night.
Rohan Vaughan gave the Clarets the lead in first half stoppage time before the Clarets then doubled their lead in the first minute of the second half through Murray Campbell’s effort.
The result will now see the Clarets take on either Bristol City or Charlton Athletic away in the fifth round, with the two set to play each other on Wednesday night.
First Half
Following a quiet start at Loftus Road, it was the visitors who sparked the first attack when Hassan intercepted a Burnley pass on the halfway line and charged towards goal before a challenge from Carlin slowed down the attack with Campbell then gathering the ball and clearing the danger.

With chances for both sides limited with over half-an-hour played, the hosts carved open the first real opportunity when R’s skipper Manufor unleashed an effort from the edge of the area but Forshaw in between the Burnley sticks was equal to it and had it covered.
Just two minutes later, Philliskirk’s youngsters then had a great chance of their own when Johnson threaded a lovely ball into the area for Vaughan, but the striker’s low shot was saved by the hands of Clark from a tight angle.
But Burnley’s persistence paid off and broke the deadlock in stoppage time of the first half when Wane stole possession from the feet of Manufor before teeing up Vaughan on the edge of the box to slam home past Clark and give the Clarets the lead at half time.

Second Half
After scoring the opener in the last minute of the first half, the second goal of the night then followed in the first minute of the second half, as Johnson’s corner fell kindly into the path of Campbell to hammer home from close range and double the Clarets’ lead.
Rangers looked for a response and came close first through Coomes’ driven effort which was palmed wide by Forshaw, before substitute Kennedy then rattled the post with a strike from range.
Burnley were not settling for just the two goals though and pushed for a third when Vaughan saw his effort hit the post with an hour on the clock.
There was a glorious opportunity for the R's to pull a goal back in the 73rf minute when Bouhiaoui broke into the area but fired well over the target.
