Burnley take a trip across the North West to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening – 18th March – where they face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup (5.45pm KO).
Winners of the competition in 1913/14, the Clarets now bid for a first semi-final spot since 1974.
They head into the last-eight tie on the back of what is – to date – a 17-game unbeaten run in the league after Wednesday night’s 3-1 success away at Hull City. Nathan Tella’s second hat-trick of the campaign was enough to tame the Tigers.
Vincent Kompany – who as a player won two FA Cups with City amongst 10 major trophies in total – now sees his side sit 19 points clear of the automatic promotion places.
Where to watch?
Over 7,000 Clarets will be following the team to the Etihad with our full away allocation sold out. We can’t thank you enough for your continued support!

Manchester City
Six-time winners of the FA Cup, City last lifted the famous trophy as part of their domestic treble in 2018/19 – Premier League, FA Cup & League Cup.
Pep Guardiola has been at the helm since 2016, boasting nine major honours during his time in charge to date and still involved in the Premier League title race this time around as well as UEFA Champions League and, of course, FA Cup.
The Sky Blues were also in midweek action, progressing into the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 7-0 win at home against German outfit RB Leipzig following a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the tie.
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland netted five goals against Leipzig, taking his tally for the season in all competitions to 39 from 36 games played. The other two goals in midweek came via Ilkay Gündoğan & Kevin De Bruyne respectively.
The last time we met
Dating back to 1897, Saturday’s meeting between the pair will be the 110th in a competitive game.
Familiar foes in the Premier League in recent years, City have had the upper hand and are unbeaten in their last 15 meetings with the Clarets.

Burnley’s last victory against the Citizens came at Turf Moor in March 2015 when George Boyd’s strike just after the hour-mark proved the winner in a 1-0 success.
The Clarets last beat a City side away from home in the 1973 FA Charity Shield, now known as Community Shield, played at Maine Road. The scoreline that day was also 1-0 thanks to a goal from defender Colin Waldron.
Accordingly, a win this Saturday would provide a first ever victory at the Etihad Stadium since the Citizens’ move there in 2003.
