The Clarets head to Chelsea on Sunday buoyed by back-to-back Premier League wins over Liverpool and Aston Villa that have hauled them away from the danger zone.
And at the half-way point of the season, the Burnley boss took stock by insisting the recent run of results have provided a timely collective reminder of the quality within the camp.
Dyche insisted: “I have a lot of trust in these players and how they go about their business and that has been reinforced by recent good results.
“It’s been a good reminder to the players about the quality they have and the level of performances they are capable of.
“The physical and running stats are very high at the moment and we’ve never been scared of a challenge.
“We’ve had a few knocks along the way, so when you come out of that and you look at your players, it reminds you how good they are as people and as players.
“But nothing in this league is a given and we will still have to do it week in and week out because you can never take the Premier League for granted.”
Chelsea are under new management following a downturn in results that have seen the Londoners win just two 2 of their last nine league games and resulted in Frank Lampard being shown the door.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are without a win in three league games at Stamford Bridge, following a stalemate against Wolves in the German’s first game in charge last week.
But Dyche knows his side still face a stern examination of their qualities in Sunday’s high-noon showdown.
“We are beginning to regroup and that has been ticking along for a few games now. The points return has been very good, but we are reality-bound,” he explained.
“It’s not easy going to Chelsea anyway, and they now have a new manager, which usually affects the players’ performances.
“But we are in good shape and there is a lot of belief in what we do. We are looking more effective in our performances and we’re going to need one on Sunday because you can’t go to these clubs without giving everything you have to win a game.”
Clarets+ will have fill commentary from Chelsea on Sunday from 11.45am, with Phil Bird and Andy Hodgson.
