Sean Dyche is ready to welcome back the fans as his side looks to restore ‘normal’ service to Turf Moor.
Supporters will return for the first time in 14 months following the easing of Covid-related restrictions when 3,500 are allowed in to watch Wednesday night’s visit of Liverpool.
They will be hoping to see the Clarets bring to an end a club record run of nine top-flight games in a row without a win following their loss to Leeds United.
Dyche believes having the backing of fans will help his side regain the winning habit moving forward at Turf Moor.
But the Burnley boss isn’t reading too much into this season’s home record – which has been replicated by many clubs in the behind-doors’ schedule – or question a squad which has given everything to secure their top-flight status.

“There’s no two ways about it, a lot of clubs’ home form has been indifferent, so it’s not just us,” said Dyche, whose side has drawn five times during the winless home streak to sit 15th in the table and 12 points clear of the relegated clubs.
“It’s been a big challenge without our fans. The fans here have learned how to support us.
“They get right behind us and they support the players and that’s become a big part of us – and will be going forward when we get fans back in here.
“It doesn’t guarantee results, but it certainly helps when you have your own supporters almost pushing the team for results.
“I’d like to think they have an effect and we have to make sure it does with a performance that allows fans to play their part.”
Dyche added: “Beyond that, people do forget our away form has been excellent this season.

“At the end of the day, these players give a lot to this cause. We work with a really skinny squad and I’ve asked a lot of them, so we have to be careful not to get too involved in it (home form).
“Although I want to win every game, sometimes you have to look and say they have given so much.”
The Clarets looked to be feeling the exertions of their successful fight to beat the drop as Leeds scored twice late on to secure Saturday's 4-0 win which keeps the Yorkshiremen in the top 10.
Aiming to end their winless streak against deposed champions Liverpool – who need the points for their top-four aspirations – won’t be easy for Burnley.
But Dyche believes the return of fans will make it a positive night before his side ends their season next Sunday at Sheffield United when a seventh away win of the campaign would equal the Clarets’ best as a Premier League club.
“Liverpool are back on form, so it will be a tough game,” he said.
“But it will be great just to get fans back in here. I know it’s only some fans, but it’s a show that things can happen going forwards and we hope it’s the start.”
