Jack Cork believes there's 'more to come' from this Burnley side, who come into this weekend's meeting unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions.
Cork, who spent three years at Swansea before joining the Clarets in the summer of 2017, faced the media on Thursday, speaking about his time in South Wales, the current form of Vincent Kompany's side and what to expect from City on Saturday.
Cork on the unbeaten run of 11 matches:
“It’s been a good start to the season, I think the only disappointment would be that we have thrown away so many leads, but we have learnt from them games and know we can do more.
“It’s frustrating but good at the same time, as we know what we’re capable of as a team and what we can do on the pitch.
“But overall, I’d say were pleased as a group of where we’re at and there is more to come.”
Cork on his time with former club Swansea City:
“I have some really good memories from my time at Swansea, we had some really players there and picked up some great wins during my time there.
“We finished in the top half of the table in my first season there and we had some great times as a squad over the years there.
“I made some friends for life there and look back really fondly of my time there, my dad was manager there and I made my football league debut there, so it is special to me.”
Cork on what to expect from Swansea:
“They play some really good stuff, the way they want to play the ‘Swansea way’ they just want to get the ball down and play football.
“They’ve been doing that well from the videos I have seen of them this year and from this week.
“It’ll also be interesting, we’re probably two of the highest possession teams in the league this year.
“But we’ll be working over the next couple of days on what we can do to stop them and make our home a tough place to come and play.”
Cork on his first PL goal for Burnley coming against Swansea:
“I remember that week really well, I had just been called up for England then played against Swansea on the weekend and I scored, and we won 2-0.
“It’s always an odd feeling scoring against a team you played for, but when don’t score often it’s hard not to celebrate!”
