Burnley Football Club, alongside Burnley FC in the Community, are delighted to announce Six Connections as the Official Community Partner for the 2025/26 season.
Voted for by members of the Club’s Fan Advisory Board, Six Connections is a mental health organisation which is designed to help start conversations around mental health in places like the pub or at the football.
Throughout the season, the Clarets will be teaming up with Six Connections to spread the message and spark meaningful conversations. Through a series of activations, we’re calling Talk on the Turf, the aim is to engage young people, fans, and the wider community, affirming the powerful belief that one conversation can be a gamechanger.
The message of Six Connections is all about helping mates talk and support each other. Making those tough conversations easier. One healthy conversation being the catalyst for another, for six others, six more and then six more.
On the collaboration, Director of Six Connections Dave Scholes said: “It’s really exciting to be partnering with Burnley Football Club and Burnley FC in the Community, launching our Talk on the Turf initiative.
“Since founding Six Connections in 2021, a presence at Turf Moor has always been high on our agenda. As an organisation helping to make conversations around mental health more comfortable in everyday places, in the good times as well as the more challenging, Turf Moor feels like a great place to make a genuine impact.
“I’ve lived in Burnley all my life, so to be selected by the Fan Advisory Board for this opportunity means a great deal. It also shows that this subject means a lot to the people in our town. If it can get thousands of people looking out for each other every home game, we can create something positive, not just in Burnley but for football on a wider scale.”
Russell Ball, Director of Fan Experience at Burnley FC said: "We’re delighted to partner with Six Connections this season. The work they do to normalise conversations around mental health is truly inspiring, and we’re looking forward to using the power of football to help amplify that message throughout the season."
Helen Gurman, CEO of Burnley FC in the Community, added: “Burnley FC in the Community is passionate about supporting mental health, and we embed that commitment across a wide range of our work. That’s why our partnership with Six Connections makes complete sense. They’re doing fantastic work in and around Burnley, and we’re proud to stand alongside them.”
The players will be wearing Six Connections branded warm up t-shirts ahead of Saturday's game against Chelsea at Turf Moor and the charity's branding will be visible on LED boards at the fixture.
