Burnley FC players visited two of the Club's official charity, Burnley FC in the Community's projects recently, to find out more about the organisation's work within the local community.
Josh Brownhill, Han-Noah Massengo and Darko Churlinov made a stop at Colne Primet Academy, to take in one of the charity's Schools' Mental Wellbeing sessions.
The Schools' Mental Wellbeing Project employs a team of mental wellbeing workers who are placed in schools across the local area to provide an early intervention to support students who are struggling with mental health issues.
Since launching in 2018, the project has provided support sessions for more than 3000 students struggling with their mental health.

During the visit, Burnley FC in the Community staff spoke to the students about resilience and maintaining mental wellbeing. While the players shared insights into their own methods for caring for their mental health, including how they unwind during down time and how they cope with the pressures of performing on the pitch.
Following the session, there was an opportunity to take photographs with the players and sign autographs.
On the impact the visitors had on students, Senior Mental Wellbeing Worker, Regan Kelly said: "It was fantastic to be able to take the players into one of our local schools and get them involved in our Schools' Mental Wellbeing Project. The players had some really valuable advice on mental wellbeing and it was a brilliant opportunity for them to pass it onto the students."

Summer signings Mike Trésor and Hannes Delcroix also got to find out more about the charity's operation of the town centre foodbank as they took a tour of the facility to get an important insight into the extensive support it offers to individuals and families in the local community.
The foodbank has continued to face increased demand and alongside Burnley Together, provide emergency food parcels to include enough food to last 7 days, that are customised to meet the needs of those in need.
Alongside a tour and finding out more about the day-to-day running of the facility, the players helped staff pack some food parcels.
Following the visit, Burnley FC in the Community's Deputy CEO Michael Colquhoun said: "Our thanks go to Mike and Hannes for visiting our foodbank facility.
"Both players showed a keen interest in our operations and weren’t afraid to help out! Working in partnership with Burnley Together, our foodbank continues to support the town of Burnley and the players’ support of this is really appreciated."
