Burnley Football Club are proud to announce a new initiative, giving women and girls aged 16+ an unrivalled insight into the world of professional football coaching.

The programme aims to give aspiring coaches the tools needed to pursue a career in the industry, and the application process is live now.

Those who are invited onto the scheme will attend insight sessions with coaches from across the Club and Burnley FC in the Community, with the aim of understanding their pathway and what makes a great coach.

Additionally, successful applicants will be given shadowing and mentorship opportunities at Burnley Training Centre.

Furthermore, the club will look to fund several qualifications that would set you up to complete the UEFA C license, including:

Introduction to Coaching
Introduction to First Aid in Football
Safeguarding Children
Emergency First Aid in Football

Those who are invited onto the scheme are asked to dedicate five half days across the 2025/26 season to attend the insight sessions.

You will also need to complete the funded qualifications in your own time.

At the end of the programme you will be asked to put together a presentation about your experience, with a particular focus on what you did to make the most of it and what you have learnt.
