22/10/2022 - Sunderland 2 - 4 Burnley
In a memorable game of two halves, Burnley scored four second half goals to claim three points on the road in Sunderland with a 4-2 victory.
Trailing 2-0 at the break, the Clarets came out firing at the restart and goals from Nathan Tella, Manuel Benson, Anass Zaroury & Josh Brownhill ensured over 2,000 travelling fans in the packed-out away end at the Stadium of Light would be sent home happy.
There was a quiet opening to the game with not much to separate the two sides, until the hosts took the lead in the 16th minute through Amad Diallo, as the Manchester United loanee was teed up by Jack Clarke to slot home from inside the area.
Tella fired over the target shortly after that opener, but Sunderland had their second just four minutes later when midfielder Dan Neil rifled home from close range.
Burnley looked to respond through efforts of Gudmundsson, who saw his strike blocked, before Vitinho struck the ball over the crossbar following a one-two with Josh Brownhill outside the area.
With the Clarets behind at the break, they needed a response and that's exactly what they got five minutes into the second half, when Taylor Harwood-Bellis flicked the ball on for Tella to guide home from close range with a glancing header.

The momentum was with the Clarets and half-time substitute Benson then pulled the scores level on the hour mark, as his attempted cross into the area sailed over everyone and caught out keeper Anthony Patterson as it bounced into the bottom corner.
With the game at 2-2, Clarke then had an opportunity to regain the Black Cats' lead, but Arijanet Muric was equal to it and kept out the winger's strike.
The Clarets were then ahead with 20 minutes left to play, as Zaroury cut inside onto his right foot and beat his oncoming man, before curling it from distance into the far corner to give the away side the lead for the first time in the match.
Sunderland attempted to claw an equaliser, but in the 88th minute the Clarets took advantage of the hosts pushing up-field, as Benson and Brownhill counter-attacked with the skipper finishing off the move and firing home past Patterson.
The result sealed a first-ever win for the Clarets at the Stadium of Light and a first in Sunderland since 1979.
