Burnley FC Women have been handed a bye into the final of this season’s Lancashire FA Women’s Senior Cup following the withdrawal of Blackburn Community Sports Club Ladies from the competition.
Jay Bradford’s side had been set to take on fellow East Lancastrians Blackburn this coming Sunday (26th February) away from home, but that last-four tie will now not take place.
Accordingly, the Claret Women will take on AFC Darwen Ladies in the competition’s final on Wednesday 12th April at the County Ground in Leyland (7.45pm KO).
Their next outing comes on Sunday 5th March at home against Boldmere St Michaels in the league (2pm KO).
