Burnley’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night saw the Clarets exit the competition in round two.
A goal either side of half-time from Goncalo Guedes proved to be the difference against the Premier League opposition at Molineux.
Scott Parked named six changes to the side that played Sunderland last week, with debuts handed to new signings Joe Worrall, Bashir Humphreys and Hannibal Mejbri.
Vaclav Hladký started between the sticks, while Luke McNally and Shurandy Sambo came into the XI. The academy quartet of Will Hugill, Joe Westley, Tommy McDermott and Vernon Masara were all named on the bench for the Clarets.

After a quiet opening 10 minutes, there was a chance for Wolves when Boubacar Traore met Pablo Sarabia’s in swinging free-kick, but the Mali midfielder could only steer it wide.
Hladky was then forced into his first bit of action for the night with a smart double save, after palming Daniel Podence’s initial effort away, Perdo Lima pounced on the rebound to fire towards goal, but Hladký was there again to keep the hosts out.
The Czech shot-stopper was then called into action again shortly after to keep out Chiquinho’s powerful strike, before the Burnley No.32 made another fine save to deny Rayan Ait-Nouri’s solo effort and keep the scores level.
However, with half-time approaching, Wolves snatched the opener, as Lima’s cross into the area was met by Guedes, who turned it home past Hladký from close range.
The half-time break saw three changes for the visitors as Brownhill, Egan-Riley and Hannibal all made way for Roberts, Pires and McDermott, who came on for his debut for the Club.

Despite the Clarets looking bright initially, the home side doubled their lead a few minutes into the second half, as Podence sent a through ball into the path of Guedes, who raced in on goal one-on-one and lifted it over Hladký.
Parker then made another change just before the hour mark as Lyle Foster replaced Rodriguez in attack.
There was a chance for the hosts to add a third with 20 minutes left to play when Toti headed over the crossbar from a corner.
The Clarets boss then handed another debut for the Clarets in the 78th minute when boyhood Burnley fan Hugill replaced Worrall.
Despite Burnley trying to claw themselves back into the game, Gary O'Neil's men kept the visitors at bay to book their place in the third round.
