The Club are pleased to introduce new Burnley FC player letters and numbers for shirts, which will be worn in our upcoming Emirates FA Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur on Friday and by the women’s players in their Adobe Women’s FA Cup game against Birmingham City Women on Sunday 14th January.
This is a first for the football club, who have never worn a Club specific font on the back of shirts for a competitive game before.
The exciting initiative is introduced as part of the Club’s ongoing brand development in partnership with Nomad Studio. The typeface was created by Newlyn, who have over 25 years’ experience giving typographic voice to companies who have large and varied audiences across regions and languages, including brands such as Mclaren, Unilever and The National Trust.
Moving forward, the font will be worn by players for all cup fixtures including the Carabao Cup and women’s cup competitions.
The letters and numbers will be available to purchase online and in the Clarets Store from Thursday 11 January.
