Josh Brownhill admits the Clarets need to start winning sooner rather than later.
But he’s convinced the points will start to flow once Burnley can get their noses in front.
Sean Dyche’s men face Crystal Palace at Turf Moor this evening still looking for their first Premier League victory of the campaign.
But a win over in-form Palace will take the Clarets out of the bottom three and Brownhill is confident the tide will turn as Burnley look to hit the ground running following the final international break of the year.
“It’s been difficult this season,” said the midfielder.
“But we have had some decent performances and it won’t surprise me when we start getting the points back on the board quickly.

“Crystal Palace will know we are chasing for our first win and will expect us to go all-out for the win, which we definitely will be.
“We are starting to need getting points on the board now. The longer it goes on the more pressure gets on us to get that win.
“It won’t be easy. They’re a really good team at what they do. They’ve got some quality players.
“But we’ve had some time off and done a lot of preparation and I’m sure we’ll be ready for the game.”
The Clarets drew their last game before the domestic shutdown thanks to a second successive clean sheet away from home.
They have since had a 17-day break from action and Brownhill – who had one of his best games in a Claret shirt as Burnley won at Palace in June – believes Dyche's squad can make that pay as they look to prevent the ninth-placed Eagles from winning at Turf Moor for the third season running.
He added: “These two weeks without a game can be important to mentally switch off for a couple of days and then come back in with the hunger to go again.
“When that first game comes around you can’t wait because you’ve missed it for a couple of weeks.”
