Ameen Al-Dakhil described coming up against Manchester United at a sold-out Turf Moor on Saturday night as 'a dream come true' for the young Belgian defender.
Despite suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to the Red Devils, Al-Dakhil put in an impressive performance in Claret & Blue and believes that positive results are nearing.
Speaking post-match to Clarets+, the 21-year-old centre-back discussed the promising performance shown against the Reds and the dream of playing every week in the Premier League.
Al-Dakhil, who has started all five opening league fixtures for the Clarets, said:“I think we played well today. We kept the ball; we created some chances but unfortunately, we didn’t score but I think if we continue playing like this results will come.
“It’s special to play here at Turf Moor in front of all the fans. It’s a fantastic night to play football and the atmosphere was amazing all night.
“I hope that and I know we will get better. We are performing now, at first it was a little bit hard but now we are doing better and playing better overall.
