Jordan Beyer described feeling hurt by the Clarets' 2-0 defeat to Everton at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Reflecting on the game post-match the defender spoke of his disappointment at being punished in key moments.
“It hurts. In the first moments of the game, it was like a game we didn’t have to lose, and it just doesn’t feel good obviously to lose the game, especially when you haven’t really been dominated or anything, two set pieces. Like before the season it’s just the moments in the game where we aren’t 100% maybe added and this cost us the points today. Because I don’t think they had that many clear chances or something and yeah on the other hand we didn’t use our chances, the ones we had, and in this league if you don’t score and one second alone it gets punished like nowhere else.
“But we go again on Saturday, there’s not much we can do about it now, so we go again.”

Onana and former Claret Michael Keane got the goals for the visitors in the first half, which the centre back adds made it difficult for the home side.
“It’s never nice to concede a goal because after that you have to score one to equal, not very wise words from me there but it’s obviously how it is, and it makes it harder. But it’s not like we gave ourselves up, I think we still tried to get the best out of the game and had our chances at the end of the first half and also in the second half. But yes, at the end of the day we talk about loosing again and it doesn’t feel good.”
When asks if he would take any positives from the 90 minutes, Beyer replied: “I think we showed on and off the ball good phases but just not good enough phases or enough with the quantity of them, but you know we had our chances like I said, and they didn’t have loads of chances. It’s not like they ran at our goal one minute after another and had crosses and things flying in. We were solid on the ball I think, it’s just the conversion at the end into a goal. The defending of set pieces it’s just too easy at the moment and that’s what we have to work on. But I think there’s still a lot of things we can be proud of. Well, it wasn’t enough, but we can take it into the next game and try to convert it into points this time.”

Following a well-earned point against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, it was a disappointing result on home turf and Beyer confirmed manager Vincent Kompany's message after the game was about not falling victim to key moments.
“It was basically the same, we weren’t obviously in the game, we didn’t have to lose this game and it was these - we talk about it as key moments - which made us loose today and that’s exactly how it is. It’s hard to take but we go on.”
The Clarets have a week to prepare for their next game, away to Fulham next Saturday and Beyer is looking forward to getting back out on the pitch.
“Yeah, it’s a Premier League game, I’m looking forward to it. I’m happy to go there and confident that we can achieve something there together.”
