Manuel Benson has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for April following his sublime performances in front of goal.
Benson featured in six of the Clarets' fixtures last month, including four spectacular goals in successive matches against Rotherham United, QPR, Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City.
All four strikes were near carbon copies, breaking down the right wing before cutting inside on his left foot and curling the ball into the far corner of the goal.
The 26-year-old's impressive form in April has seen Benson take his tally to 11 goals in the Championship and 13 in all competitions this season.
Benson is up for the award against James McAtee of Sheffield United, Gustavo Hamer from Coventry City and Matty Pearson at Huddersfield Town.
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies with the winner announced on Friday 5th May.
