Captain Ben Mee discusses Saturday’s clash with the Hornets, the point at Arsenal last time out and striker Wout Weghorst’s arrival at Turf Moor

Mee on the last time out, in a goalless draw the Emirates:

It was a great point. We dug in very well at Arsenal and worked hard for a well-earned point.

There is a good feeling around the place. We put in a real solid performance in our last game.

We went back to basics. We defended well, we were solid, and it is everything we have been previously good at. On a different day we could have gone up the other end and nicked a goal, but we were pleased with the performance. The skipper on new arrival Wout Weghorst:

Wout has trained with us all week and he is a great lad. He has fit in very well with the group and he is a down to earth person. We are looking forward to seeing what he can do and I am excited to play alongside him in the coming games.

Mee on having 20 games left to play in the Premier League:

It is crazy how many games we have left. We have really struggled to get going this season due to the stop start nature. It has been frustrating with everything going on. It is nice that this is the start of three home games in the next week. Hopefully we can get on a run, pick up some good performances and build flow and confidence. That is when we are at our best.

The captain on Saturday night's Turf Moor clash:There is a big crowd at Turf this weekend. We are going to need the fans to get right behind us and create a really good atmosphere.I am excited for the game. It is a really big game for us and the boys are looking forward to a big week ahead. The fans always get right behind us and create a good atmosphere and make it difficult for our opponents to come. We will put on a performance.

Mee on now having a busy schedule of games coming up:We are at our best when we are in the flow of matches and playing. We want to be motoring into games and try and pick up momentum. It is important for us to do that. We are the only Premier League game taking place this weekend which adds something to this match. We have been waiting to play them, and hopefully this is third time lucky.
