Burnley Football Club are pleased to confirm that striker Ashley Barnes has signed a new one-year deal at Turf Moor.

Barnes, who has featured over 300 times for the Club, including scoring 42 Premier League goals in 200 top-flight appearances, re-joined the Clarets in January from Norwich City after 18 months away from Lancashire.

The 35-year-old was an integral figure within the dressing room for the second half of last season, making 16 appearances as Burnley secured promotion and Barnes will now look to bring his Premier League knowledge and experience to Scott Parker’s squad for one final campaign.

After penning a new deal until the end of the 2025/26 season, Barnes said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be back and re-join the Club for a third time now!

"I have unfinished business, I'm not done yet and I'm here to challenge for a place in the squad, as well as helping everyone out and being in that environment around the changing room.

"I can bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the new lads and younger players. There's a few of us that have been in the Premier League before and a few that are new to it, it's about having that balance in the team and I have to use my influence on and off the pitch to help where I can."

Barnes, who achieved his fourth promotion from the Championship with the Club last season, is no stranger to the top-flight with the Clarets.

The Bath-born striker has played his part in some memorable victories during his time playing in the Premier League, including scoring goals against the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
