Burnley host Watford at Turf Moor on Tuesday night in the Sky Bet Championship, where a victory would see the Clarets surpass the record of most successive league wins in the Championship.
Vincent Kompany's men equalled that record of 10 consecutive league wins on Saturday with a thumping 3-0 win over Preston North End.
Striker Ashley Barnes, who grabbed two assists on the weekend, admits it would be a 'massive achievement' for the team but believes it won't be a simple task coming up against the Hornets.
Watford currently sit sixth in the play-off spots and are one of only two sides to defeat the Clarets this season, after running out 1-0 winners back in August at Vicarage Road.
Speaking on Monday, Barnes said: “It’s one we’re looking forward to. Especially with it being at home, we’re on a good run of form at the moment too but we know it won’t be easy.
“We know they are a Premier League outfit really; they have shot up the table, but we don’t like to worry or focus on other teams too much and just focus on what we do.
“It would be amazing for us, a massive achievement for everyone involved. We have hit a few milestones and targets this season and it would be great to do that again tomorrow night.
“But like I said, it won’t be an easy task and we’re going to have to work hard for it and they (Watford) will be doing all they can to stop us.”
The Clarets were backed by a sell-out crowd to victory on Saturday and another big crowd is expected at Turf Moor on Tuesday night.
Barnes is hoping that himself and the team can give the supporters something to be proud of this season and achieve success together.
“They are the 12th man, this season they have been unbelievable. Last season wasn’t good enough and this season we want to give them something back.
“Hopefully this season we’ve put in performances they can proud of and we strive for promotion that’s the main aim.
“We will need them again on Tuesday night and behind us all the way like they have been and we can achieve it together.”
