Burnley Football Club are pleased to announce an option on Ashley Barnes’ contract has been activated to keep the forward at the Club for a further season.
Barnes will be heading into his 10th season as a Claret, after joining Burnley in January 2014 from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The striker has 47 goals in 248 appearances at Turf Moor, hitting double figures for the season in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 Premier League campaigns, with 10 and 13 respectively.
The Bath-born attacker, who carries a wealth of experience in the Championship with already over 150 appearances in the division, also has 30 goals to his name in second tier.
Barnes joins fellow strike partner Jay Rodriguez, who signed a new two-year deal last month, in committing their future with the Clarets ahead of the 2022/23 season.
