Jaidon Anthony confessed his delight at getting on the scoresheet twice at the CBS Arena on Saturday afternoon, as the Clarets secured a 2-1 win over Coventry City.
After Haji Wright gave the hosts an early lead, Anthony slotted in his first of the game 11 minutes later, before striking home his second early in the second-half.
Speaking post-match in Coventry, the winger highlighted how important getting a result this weekend was against tough opposition and acknowledged it as a 'big three points'.
"Everyone dug deep today, we had to be at our best and we're really pleased with the win. We knew it was going to be a difficult game and they made it hard at times for us.
"They're a really good side and it was disappointing to go a goal down so early on, but we caused them a lot of problems in attack and we could have had a couple more goals.
"We knew that we could come here and get the win and that's what we've done. I'm buzzing to get two more goals and help the team, but the most important thing today was getting a big three points."
The Clarets are now 27 matches unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship with the last defeat in the league coming on the 3rd November and Anthony says the confidence within the team stems from the 'hard work' shown in training.
"Our confidence comes from the work we do. We work so hard in training every day, every week and I think it shows on the pitch.
"We have an amazing squad and we're all really close, it's tight knit and I think you can see that, we are all pushing each other all the way."
Burnley's attention now turns to Tuesday night's trip to Derby County and Anthony knows it's another challenging fixture on the cards.
"We want to win every game and it's the same again on Tuesday. It's a difficult place to go but we get back to work Monday and then we go again."
