Burnley Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Ben Amos, who joins the club on a one-year deal.

The experienced shot-stopper arrives at Turf Moor with over 360 senior appearances across all three leagues in the EFL.

After joining the goalkeeping ranks with the Clarets, Amos said: "I'm really pleased to get the move done and I'm very happy to be a part of this Club.

"I think there's a good blend of younger and older players here and hopefully, I can bring something to the dressing room with my experience and be part of the senior group."

Macclesfield-born Amos started his career with Manchester United, after joining the Red Devils' academy in 2001, the keeper went on to stay at Old Trafford until 2015.

After making his first team debut in September 2008 in a League Cup tie, Amos then went on to spend time on loan with Peterborough United, Molde, Oldham Athletic, Hull City, Carlisle United and Bolton Wanderers, before signing for the latter in a permanent deal.

With his 16-year stay coming to an end at United, Amos spent a total of four years with Bolton, including loan spells with Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic and Millwall, before a permanent move to join the Addicks in the summer of 2019.

Following two years in London, a move back up North saw Amos join Wigan Athletic ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, where he played 83 games in a three-year spell, with a move to Port Vale following in 2024.
