Forward Maxwel Cornet will fly to Africa today (Monday 3rd) to link up with his Ivory Coast teammates, as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Lyon man grabbed his sixth goal of the season on Sunday, with an excellent free-kick from 30-yards out at Elland Road, after returning from injury.
But Cornet will now be taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations, meaning he will be unavaliable for the Clarets' next three matches; against Huddersfield Town, Leicester City & Arsenal and potentially Manchester United, depending on the Elephants' progress in the competition.
The Ivory Coast kick off their group stage on Wednesday 12th January, against Equatorial Guinea (7pm), before taking on Sierra Leone on Sunday 16th January (4pm).
Cornet and his teammates will then play their final group match on Thursday 20th January against Algeria (4pm).
Burnley fans will be able to watch Maxwel in action, as Sky Sports will be broadcasting every AFCON match live.
All above kick off times are UK times.
