Burnley FC U21s & U18s continued their support of the work of the Club's official charity Burnley FC in the Community in the run up to Christmas.
Players from both squads donated to the charity's foodbank and the U18s players used the funds to complete a trolley dash at Tesco Burnley, with all the items collected then delivered to the facility ahead of Christmas Day.
In addition to the food items, some academy kit was also donated to support the cause.

U18s Captain Jack Rogers and Joe Ashton visited the foodbank on behalf of the squad to deliver the festive donations. The two met Foodbank Manager Nathan Norris and staff & customers from the 'Down Town' community store.
On the visit, Rogers said: "It was a great experience to visit the foodbank and see how important our donations are and how they will be put to good use.
"We were surprised how quickly our donations would be sent out to local families, we are really glad to support the local community."

Burnley FC Academy Player Care Lead Chris Heap added: "We feel experiences like this are invaluable for our young academy players, the vast majority of our U18s squad are not from the local area so it’s important they understand the town, the challenges it has and the people they represent.
"Our scholars are privileged to access our fantastic training facility each day and are well looked after by our staff so it’s important they grasp that some people are less fortunate and as ambassadors of the club they should try and help where possible. The foodbank visit is part of an ongoing joint project between Burnley FC in the Community and the Academy where our scholars are adopting a community project for the season."

Following the visit, the Academy players also showed their support of the charity's work in the local community by joining participants and staff at Burnley FC in the Community's Christmas Party for their Health and Wellbeing Groups.
The event brought together various groups, including Extra Time (Over 50’s), No Nay Never Forget Dementia Group, Cancer Rehabilitation Group Clarets Rise and Turf Talk.
The young players didn't waste any time getting involved in the dancing and party games!
