Burnley’s full-time Academy teams will each play several behind-closed-doors friendlies before travelling to Poland for a training camp as part of their preparations for the 2024/25 season.
Having played Warrington Rylands earlier this week, the U21s welcome Celtic B to Lancashire on Saturday 13th July.
Hearts B will then travel south of the border just short of a week later before further matches against Huddersfield Town B and fellow 2023/24 Central League Cup finalists Derby County U21s.
Tony Philliskirk’s U18s kick start their schedule with the visit of Stockport County on Saturday 13th July, before playing two more home games in a week against Preston North End and Shrewsbury Town.
Our scholars will then play their Dundee and Port Vale counterparts during the week commencing 22nd July.
Final preparations will take place in Poland, with the U21s and U18s going on a joint week-long trip between Sunday 28th July and Sunday 4th August.
In addition to training and valuable team bonding, both sides will play friendlies against local opposition.
The Professional Development League season will kick off on the weekend of Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August for both age groups.
Keep an eye on www.burnleyfootballclub.com, where their full fixture lists will be published once they are available.
