Good afternoon and welcome to Turf Moor for today’s game against Watford.

I was delighted with the response we showed at Carrow Road last weekend and I’m immensely proud of the team for coming from behind to claim all three points.

The players showed a real determination and togetherness on the day, which are vital characteristics for us to possess in order to have a successful season.

I think we can all agree what an incredible goal from Zian! Josh netted his seventh goal of the campaign too, a big well done to both them and the whole squad.

I recently took part in our Fan Forum at Burnley College, and I want to say a big thank you to all the supporters who attended on the evening and sent in questions. I hope you all found it beneficial, and it was positive to meet so many of you face to face.

It’s difficult to cover every topic, if so, we would have been there for days! But we touched on most areas, and I hope that you found it helpful.

We’re going to experience highs and lows as a Club, that’s the industry that we are in. However, evenings such as the Fan Forum I hope help us all feel connected. There’s something that we all have in common and that is, that we want Burnley Football Club to be successful, both now and for many years to come.

Today’s game is our last fixture before Christmas, so I want to take the opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Christmas is a magical time of year, and we hope you will join us in finding joy in helping others at this very special time.

Looking ahead to the new year, we recently announced the date for our annual In Memoriam fixture, which for 2025 will take place at our game against Sunderland on Friday 17th January.

A special date in the calendar, we are inviting supporters to submit the names of anyone who has passed away in 2024 that you would like to be remembered at the game. To do this, please just fill in the online form which can be found on our website.

Now we have an incredibly busy few weeks coming up with some challenging games this festive season. We’re going to need your support more than ever. Let’s give Scott and the players our backing as we aim to head into Christmas with a fantastic present of three points!
