When I look back at the last 18 months, I feel very proud that we as Premier League players are fortunate to have a wide reach across modern society. This is helped by the global reach of the Premier League, and I am proud we have played a part in being able to use this platform to raise awareness and encourage thought and conversations about racial inequality and discrimination amongst all areas of life.
This is why the Premier League ‘No Room for Racism’ campaign is so important to us all in making everyone feel at home when watching, supporting and taking part in the game we all love at all levels.
Beyond this, I hope we as players - alongside the Premier League - are helping with this and will continue to help have a positive influence on the broader outlook of our society. Hopefully this raises awareness and questions that have not previously been asked and is a cornerstone of respecting one another. I personally feel it is important in modern society that we look out for and take care of one another, no matter of your background.
