Burnley U21s have been drawn in Group A of the 2024/25 Central League Cup competition alongside AFC Barrow, Blackburn Rovers, Carlise United and Morecambe.
The young Clarets will be aiming to defend their crown, having won last season’s iteration with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Derby County in the final.
18 teams have entered the competition and have been split into four groups, with Group A and Group C consisting of five teams each. Group B and Group D have four teams each.
The group stages will see Burnley play the four other teams once, and the top two teams from each group will progress to the quarter final stage.
Andy Farrell’s team start their schedule with a home game against Carlisle United at Burnley Training Centre on Tuesday 5th November.
They then travel to AFC Barrow on Tuesday 12th November, before a trip to Blackburn Rovers’ training facilities three days later.
A date for the final group game against Morecambe is yet to be agreed and will be announced as soon as possible.
