After returning to cup action, Burnley suffered their first defeat since November, as the Clarets were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup in the fifth round.
Scott Parker’s side went into the break trailing to goals from Preston’s Robbie Brady and Milutin Osmajic, before Will Keane sealed the win for North End in the second-half.
04/03/2025 - Cardiff City 1 - 2 Burnley (Cardiff City Stadium)
Maxime Esteve scored his first goal for Burnley Football Club as the Clarets delivered a resilient second-half performance to earn a hard-fought three points away to Cardiff City.
City, previously unbeaten in six at home, were able to end Burnley’s run of clean sheets at 12 from Yousef Salech’s header, but Josh Brownhill’s opener on his 200th Burnley appearance and Esteve's strike sealed the win in Wales.
08/03/2025 - Burnley 4 - 0 Luton Town (Turf Moor)
Burnley’s Sky Bet Championship unbeaten run was extended to 23 matches in sublime fashion against the Hatters, as goals from Lyle Foster, Josh Brownhill, Ashley Barnes and a Luton own goal saw the Clarets secure a well-deserved 4-0 victory.
The Clarets took the lead through Mark McGuiness’ own goal, before Foster added a second shortly after with a close-range finish.
Brownhill slotted home his 12th of the campaign eight minutes into the second-half, with Barnes then smashing in from close range with the last kick of the game.
11/03/2025 - Burnley 1 - 1 West Bromwich Albion (Turf Moor)
Burnley were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion, as the Clarets extended their Sky Bet Championship undefeated run to 24 matches.
The Baggies took the lead through John Swift’s free-kick, before Zian Flemming turned home the equaliser just three minutes later.
There were chances for both sides in the second-half to win it, with Jaidon Anthony hitting the crossbar, but the points were to be shared at Turf Moor.
A last-ditch penalty appeal from the Clarets for handball was waved away by referee Gavin Ward, who then awarded two red cards after the full-time whistle to Scott Parker and CJ Egan-Riley.
15/03/2025 - Swansea City 0 - 2 Burnley (Swansea.com Stadium)
First-half goals from Josh Brownhill and Jaidon Anthony saw the Clarets secure a deserved three points in a dominant display at the Swansea.com Stadium before the March international break.
Brownhill swept home the opener in the 3rd minute, before Anthony smashed home the second of the game midway through the first-half, with the win seeing Burnley extend their unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship to 25 games.
29/03/2025 - Burnley 1 - 0 Bristol City (Turf Moor)
Zian Flemming's 16th minute free-kick proved to be the difference for the Clarets in a dominant display, as Burnley ran out 1-0 winners against Bristol City at Turf Moor.
Flemming opened the scoring with a superb set-piece from 30-yards out in the first-half and the hosts had a number of chances through Jaidon Anthony, Connor Roberts and Josh Brownhill to add to the scoreline, but it ended with just the one goal.
The win saw Burney extend their Sky Bet Championship unbeaten run to 26 matches and remain the only side in the league undefeated at home this campaign.
