Matchwinner Matej Vydra was delighted to score the winner as Burnley made it back-to-back wins following victory over Wolves at Turf Moor on Sunday.

Vydra turned in Wout Weghorst’s cross on the 62nd minute to secure Mike Jackson’s Clarets the win.

And after full-time, Vydra spoke about a range of match topics as well as his return from injury.

Vydra on the result:

“I think you can see how big the performance and three-points was for us, and the most important thing is the result in the end.”

Vydra on his goal:

“It was a great ball from Dwighty to Wout, and it was only on me, it wasn’t the easiest goal as the ball was behind me and to get the goal is a brilliant feeling.”

Vydra on the fans and dressing room spirit:

“The crowd were great, it’s not been easy for myself since my hernia operation and dislocated elbow but everyone in the dressing room has stayed behind me and I’m just thankful to the fans and my team-mates.

“I’m happy to be back and we need to keep fighting for ourselves.”

Vydra on building on the win:

“Everyone is buzzing to take seven points but it’s only three steps, we have five left and it looks like we’ve found our self, fighting for each other and defending bodies on the strikers.

“We know what we have to do, and we can be pleased with the performance.”
