Sam Vokes has been included in the Wales squad to attend a training camp in Portugal ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier against Serbia next month.

Vokes - who finished the season as the Clarets' leading scorer - is in a 26-man party named by Chris Coleman for the camp which runs from 29 May-4 June.

The squad will then be trimmed to 23 men for the trip to Belgrade to face Serbia, who top qualifying Group D, on Sunday, 11 June.

Vokes, 27, is expected to be retained as he aims to win a 50th cap for his country.

Wales are currently third in the group - four points behind Serbia and the Republic of Ireland - in the race for a place at the 2018 World Cup final in Russia.
